07-10-18 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 10, 2018
Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”   Mt_9:32-38

How do we labor for the Lord’s harvest, beloved?  Maybe it’s serving the poor.  Maybe it’s visiting the sick or elderly.  Maybe it’s just bringing the joy of Christ to our workplace.  They’re all wonderful and very needed missions.

However, we also need priests to administer our Sacraments to keep US fed!  So, how then are we encouraging our youth to consider the priesthood as their vocation?  We really do have some awesome kids, who would make wonderful priests.

And then how, too, are we supporting our own priests?  Do we help them in their administration?  Do we encourage and congratulate them on their accomplishments?  We are their family!  And we should treat them just like a brother or father or favorite cousin.  They are our spiritual life blood!

LOVE your priest today!

And remember to say “Thanks!”
