07-13-19 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 13, 2019
Continuing on the theme of coming persecutions, Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore do not be afraid of them.  Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.  What I say to you in the darkness, speak in the light; what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.  And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.”  Mt_10:24-33

Thus, beloved, we are to protect our souls.  Through our prayer, through our Scripture readings and through our community, we get to know just who God is.  And knowing God, we know right from wrong and we strive to always do what is right.  God loves us and wants nothing evil to happen to us.  When we follow His command to love all, He will see to it that we are always in His protection.  And in the end, our souls WILL find rest in Him!

Most blessed and happy birthday wishes to our beloved son, Fr. James!  May your day be joyful in the Lord!  God’s  blessings and our love, always!
