(St. Peter Claver, Priest)
Jesus said to his disciples: “To you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. . . .” Lk_6:27-38
It is the most rewarding thing we can ever do in this life and yet probably the hardest: to love others above ourselves. To love without jealousy, without ownership, without hatred. To love, even our enemies. To give without expecting repayment. To lose without revenge. To forgive without the expected remorse. To not judge, even though we are constantly judged by others. To love without bounds! This is what God wants for us. And in return we will know that we are becoming more and more like our Master. We are beginning to live in His kingdom! Blessed be God forever!
