12-20-21 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 20, 2021
(O Key of David, opening the gates of God’s eternal Kingdom: come and free the prisoners of darkness! Alleluia Verse)
. . . the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. . . .
(and) nothing will be impossible for God.

Lk 1:26-38

When God is on our side, beloved, there is absolutely nothing to fear.  Have we gotten rid of everything that could possibly cause us to feel guilty?  Have we been totally open with God, not holding anything back?  Is there anything in our lives that is keeping us from being totally immersed in God, over all else, even loved ones, even death?  If so, beloved, we truly do have nothing to fear.  When God knows us like a transparent piece of glass and there is nothing blocking his view, nothing clouding his vision through us, then we, like Mary, will have found favor with God.  And when we have found that favor, then there is nothing impossible for us as well, (when God is on our side)!
