Jesus said to His disciples, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” Mk_10:13-16
Faith like a child is trust, is dependence, is openness. Faith like a child is not judgmental, is not vindictive. Now, children may in their need for attention become selfish, but we become that way because of the injustice we see by the examples of the adults around us. Jesus is looking for the child-like behavior of the innocent, loving, caring children who depend upon Him and upon their parents for their very lives. Jesus IS our life, beloved! Now, the trick is peeling away all that the world has conditioned in us and allowing the child to come back out! Jesus is waiting for that awakening, in Love!
