Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”  Jn_6:51-58

So why were, and there still are, some people who are searching so diligently for some “fountain of youth?”  Jesus gave it to us 2000-years ago.  He IS the LIVING bread!  When we believe in Him, when we partake in consuming Him in the Blessed Sacrament, we will “live forever.”  He told us so!  He died that we might be reunited with God our Father.  And He gave us the Holy Spirit to live in our souls!  Eternal life can start right now, beloved, if we just believe!
