Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” Mt_6:19-23
. . . where the market jumps up and down like a trampoline, where the food and gas prices obliterate your bank account, where the hail and deer destroy, where rain or drought do likewise, where the job is quick to “let you go,” as are the friends and family and those you thought were close, where even that heart and body begin to fail. Our only treasure IS Jesus, is God, is heaven. When all else withers like the grass of the field, God will always BE. And THERE is our treasure!
