Continuing on yesterday’s theme of attaining the Kingdom of God, Jesus told a parable about bridesmaids who were prepared for the King’s coming and some who were not. The unprepared maids who missed their King’s entrance said, ‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’ But he said in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’ And Jesus concluded, “Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” Mt 25:1-13
Stay awake, be prepared. For the Lord IS coming. Are we lost in our material lives? Or are we preparing ourselves spiritually for His coming, through our LOVE?
