03-30-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 30, 2016
Two of Jesus’ disciples were returning home after the events of the passion and death of Jesus, when Jesus came walking along with them.  Though they did not know it was Jesus, they listened intently as He opened the Scriptures to them about all that had been written about Him by the prophets.  When they finally realized that it was Jesus, they said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?”  Lk_24:13-35

Jesus opens the Scriptures to us all the time, beloved.  Sometimes it comes to us through a friend or a stranger.  Sometimes we are inspired to read the Bible ourselves.  And sometimes through a book, or a radio speaker, or even a child, Jesus will show up to us in a word, or a thought, or even a picture.  He IS alive, beloved.  Believe and watch out, because we never know when or where He just may show up in our lives too!
