10-16-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 16, 2016
(29th Sunday Ordinary Time C)
Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. . .   Then, The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says.  Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night?  Will he be slow to answer them?  I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily.  But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”  Lk_18:1-8

Will, or can we have the persistence to pray without ceasing, beloved?  Jesus asks us to never give up.  And yet, people are so easily swayed toward instant gratification.  “If we can’t get it here, we’ll try somewhere else.”  “Will He find faith on earth?” Jesus asks.  Be, beloved, one of His faithful.  Never give up on God and keep on asking.  He WILL respond.  And we will receive our due!
