(2nd Sunday Lent, C)
In the midst of the transfiguration of Jesus, in the presence of Peter, John and James, a cloud came and cast a shadow over them, and they became frightened when they entered the cloud. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my chosen Son; listen to him.” Lk_9:28b-36
God truly does interact with His people. Jesus allowed his most trusted disciples to see Him in His glory. And not only Jesus himself, but Moses and Elijah as well. And then in the midst of their confusion about what was really going on, God the Father descended upon them all and spoke. And when God speaks . . . We really do need to listen. Of course the message was to listen to His chosen Son, Jesus who lived among us and taught us what it will take to live for eternity. LOVE!
