For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
As high as the heavens are above the earth,
so high are my ways above your ways
and my thoughts above your thoughts.
Is_55:6-9
If our God was not so far beyond us, beloved, could He even be our God? For He has created us and everything we see and know. He is our strength, our mercy, our love, our wisdom, our all! And having had Jesus in the form of human flesh, we now have the absolute best example to follow. Jesus has shown us, not only the true possibility of being so far beyond mortal fleshly behavior that we can actually be “like” God ourselves, but He also showed us, through His resurrection, our Hope for all eternity, which follows this short mortal existence.
We have something to strive for, beloved.
And we have reason to follow and obey!
